After some recent events in my life, and some horrifying news, I have decided to stand up, and write a quick something to all the troubled youth who are being bullied. I would like to add my tiny penny’s worth, to the thousands of voices who have already spoke out for the “It Gets Better” project.
Here is what I have to say:
The lives of millions of our youth are needlessly thrown away because of abusive. Bullying for any reason, be it race, belief, sexuality or anything else, is not acceptable. It is our duty as friends, family and human beings, to stand up for those who feel they have no voice, or no ear to turn to. Suicide is not the answer, and to those of you who bully or abuse someone to the point of suicide, well, in my eyes you are nothing more than a life-stealing murderer.
And to all of you out there, who feel lost, or lonely, there is always someone with an ear, waiting to hear you out. There is always someone with a heart, waiting to open it up for you. There is always someone with love, waiting to give it to you.It doesn’t get easier, but it does get better. It gets better.
Thanks… I couldn’t stand to hear of another teenager committing suicide because they feel it’s the only way out.
